Artisan Anywhere!

Artisan mobile users were delighted to learn last week, that Artisan can now be used in poor or no coverage areas. The latest release of Artisan; 2.17.3 allows photos to be taken and queued for upload when the device is back in a coverage area. 

The project must have been set up and delivered to the mobile device before leaving a coverage area and completed shotlists can not be submitted until the device is back in a coverage area. However, so long as the phone retains a GPS location, Artisan can be used in remote locations to gather compliance and workmanship evidence.

Photo queueing has some real advantages in poor coverage areas with one or two bars as well. The builder or tradesperson can use the App at the same speed they would in a good coverage area because the photos continue to upload in the background. The App tells you when the photos are all uploaded and ready to submit. So you can pick up the tools or finish that coffee and push "submit" without losing any productive time.
